About Face is committed to providing an "About Face" for the nation's underprivileged teenagers suffering from moderate to severe acne.
About Face AcneSM is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that assists the underprivileged adolescents in the treatment of acne vulgaris. Our mission is to fund and facilitate best-in-class therapy for indigent acne patients in order to improve their skin condition and prevent lifelong scarring. By doing so, it is our hope that we will have assisted teens in achieving an “About Face” with their medical condition and most importantly their self-esteem.
To help execute our vision, we have secured a team of renowned dermatologists who are equally passionate about treating adolescent acne. Each doctor has generously donated specific office hours and resources to care for patients in the program with medication and innovative aesthetic regimens. The About Face AcneSM organization will have large-scale fundraising activities that will include celebrity events, corporate partnerships, an annual fundraising gala and private donor engagements.
Through our campaigns, we also look to improve public awareness of the psychological and psychosocial effects of acne, and in turn, strive to increase the insurance industry’s coverage level for acne.
As part of our commitment to the future of our patients, About Face AcneSM will offer college scholarships to select graduating patients. About Face AcneSM is committed to helping these teenagers not only do an About Face with their self-esteem but also with their life long journey!
