ABOUT FACE ACNESM through its network of renowned dermatologists will effectively treat acne for the indigent patients through topical or oral meds, peels, and lasers. All treatments are subject to the diagnosis and approval of the treating dermatologist.
Participation Requirements: Qualified, Board Certified dermatologist wanting to participate in the ABOUT FACE ACNESM initiative will be required to see 36 patients per year in order to become a "nationally recognized partner." Participation will include patients being seen by any Physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or dermatologist within the dermatologist’s supervised office. All participating physicians will provide 10 before and after stories with corresponding photographs. National partner dermatologists will be invited to participate in annual publishing initiatives and speaking events.
About Face AcneSM official partner dermatologists will have the opportunity to participate in lecture events, press tour events, media partner events, as well as the annual fundraiser event. All volunteer dermatologists’ offices will be embossed with an About Face AcneSM logo and physicians will be recognized on the About Face Acne (add ACNE and SM and don’t capitalize About Face)website as a participating office.
Physicians are not responsible for supplying patients with medications unless physicians would like to supply samples from physicians’ own office supply. ABOUT FACE AcneSM will have Care Cards provided by an official participating pharmacy in which patients can fill their prescriptions and purchase their OTC meds at no cost.
Celebrity personalities will participate with press tour events, media partner events, the annual fundraiser event as well as 1:1 self esteem character building time with a select few patients.
About Face AcneSM will hire professional photographers, videographers to capture the About Face AcneSM journey of select patients. Their story will be shared via About Face AcneSM website, the fundraiser event, and all media campaigns, including a potential national network television special.
Participating corporate sponsors will be recognized on the About Face AcneSM website and at the fundraiser event. According to sponsorship commitment, corporate sponsors will actively participate in all media campaigns.
